Over the years, Woods had a lucrative and enduring partnership with Nike, signing his initial five-year, $US40 million contract in 1996 and subsequently renewing it, with his last deal in 2013 reportedly valued at $200 million. Throughout his career, Woods is estimated to have earned around $A750 million from his association with Nike. Despite parting ways, Woods hinted at his return to competition with a closing remark in his post, saying, “See you in LA!”, suggesting his intention to play at the February 15-18 Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club.
