Growing up, Perry honed his hockey skills with the Peterborough Minor Petes AAA organization in the OMHA’s Eastern AAA league. Drafted fifth overall by the London Knights in the 2001 OHL Priority Draft, Perry made an immediate impact, recording 59 points in 60 games during his rookie season.
