With Debby Clarke Belichick, he has three children: Amanda, Stephen, and Brian. Amanda became the head women’s lacrosse coach at Holy Cross College in Massachusetts in July 2015, while Stephen joined the New England Patriots as an assistant coach. Brian was employed in the Patriots’ front office as a scouting assistant.

Belichick, a descendant of the Bill Parcells coaching tree, started his coaching journey in 1975 as a Baltimore Colts assistant. By 1985, he became the defensive coordinator for the New York Giants under head coach Bill Parcells, winning two Super Bowls together. Belichick later became the head coach of the Cleveland Browns in 1991, stayed for five seasons, and then joined Parcells again, first with the New England Patriots (losing Super Bowl XXXI) and later with the New York Jets. After briefly taking the Jets’ head coaching position in 2000, he opted for the same role with the New England Patriots on January 27, 2000.

In his 24 seasons with the Patriots, Belichick achieved remarkable success, securing 17 AFC East division titles, making 13 AFC Championship Game appearances, and reaching nine Super Bowls, winning six. He holds the record for the most Super Bowl titles (eight) in NFL history, including both his time as an assistant and head coach.
