Legal Allegations Surrounding Mia Goth
Legal Claims: Mia Goth Accused of Kicking Background Actor in the Head
The plaintiff asserts that he suffered a concussion after Mia Goth allegedly kicked him during the filming of “MaXXXine,” the third installment in a horror film trilogy directed by Ti West. This film, along with its predecessors “X” and “Pearl,” was shot consecutively in the Manawatū region in 2021 amid lockdowns.
According to the legal complaint filed by James Hunter, he was hired for a three-day role as a deceased parishioner. During the first night of production, while lying on the ground covered in fake blood for an extended period, he claimed to have endured discomfort from ants and mosquitoes. In the scene, Mia Goth was supposed to run past him, occasionally stepping over him, looking down, and then continuing to run.
The lawsuit alleges that on the fourth take, Goth almost stepped on him. After complaining to the second assistant director, the concern was conveyed to Goth. Subsequently, during the next take, the lawsuit claims that Goth intentionally kicked Hunter in the head with her boot. Following the scene, she allegedly confronted him in the bathroom, taunting and belittling him.
Hunter states that he felt pain in his head, aggravated by the removal of fake blood. On his drive home, he reported feeling lightheaded and had to pull over twice. The casting agency informed him the next day that the production did not want him to return for the remaining two days.
The lawsuit accuses Mia Goth of battery and also includes a wrongful termination claim against A24, the production company behind the film.
