Career
In 2005, Joe, Kevin, and Nick came together to record their inaugural track, “Please Be Mine.” When Columbia Records President Steve Greenberg got wind of the song, he made the pivotal decision to sign the trio as a musical group. Before ultimately choosing the moniker “Jonas Brothers,” they contemplated the name “Sons of Jonas.”
The group’s initial album, titled “It’s About Time,” saw the light of day on August 8, 2006. However, the album didn’t garner much support from the label, which subsequently lost interest in promoting the band. In the early days of 2007, the music video for the album’s second single, “Year 3000,” made its debut on the Disney Channel.
In May 2008, Joe and his bandmates embarked on their own documentary series titled “Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream.” Additionally, Joe made his cinematic debut alongside his brothers in the Disney Channel film “Camp Rock” in 2008.
Jonas, featuring all three of the Jonas brothers, including Joe, hit the Disney Channel screens with its debut on May 2, 2009.
In 2011, there was an announcement about Joe Jonas’s intention to embark on a solo music venture by recording an album. His vision for this solo project included a desire to infuse elements of funk into the music.
On October 11, 2012, at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, a significant event took place. The band announced their fifth studio album, which was scheduled for an independent release through their own label, with plans to launch it in 2013.
The collective adopted the moniker DNCE, deliberately misspelling the word “dance.” In 2015, DNCE made their debut with the release of the single “Cake by the Ocean.” Their introductory extended play, titled “Swaay,” saw the light of day in October of the same year.
In 2018, Joe Jonas took on the role of a coach on the Australian edition of The Voice, following his previous role as a mentor on the American version. Additionally, in June 2018, he teamed up with British DJ Jonas Blue to release their collaborative track titled “I See Love,” which served as a soundtrack for the film “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.”
In April 2019, Joe Jonas made an appearance at WE Day California, portions of which were broadcast on ABC in August of the same year.
Moving forward to January 2021, it was revealed that Jonas would be part of the cast for the Korean War movie “Devotion.” Filming for the project occurred in March 2021 on Tybee Island, Georgia, with additional scenes shot on the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge in Charleston, South Carolina in May 2021. The movie is anticipated to premiere in 2022.
Then, in February 2022, Joe Jonas excitedly announced the revival of DNCE alongside Lawless and Lee. The band’s return was marked by the release of a new track called “Dancing Feet,” produced by Norwegian DJ Kygo, which hit the airwaves on February 25, 2022.
Lastly, the Jonas brothers collectively released their sixth studio album, titled “The Album,” in May 2023.

Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner Headed for Divorce
Over the weekend, there have been swirling reports about a potential breakup between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner. Multiple sources have suggested that their marriage is on the brink of divorce, and there are indications that Joe has sought the counsel of divorce attorneys based in Los Angeles.
Joe, the 34-year-old singer and actor, made a rare public statement about his relationship with Sophie, who is 27 years old, last year. He affectionately referred to her as “the best acting coach ever.” Joe also shared that he used to be more open about his personal life before he began dating Sophie in 2016. However, she influenced his perspective on how much he should disclose to the public.
“I used to feel comfortable being an open book,” he explained during an interview with Mr. Porter. “But when we started dating, I realized that I didn’t have many aspects of my life that were just for me. Ultimately, having something reserved for myself makes me a better person.”
Sophie has also discussed their initial encounter, which left her quite emotional. She recounted falling in love at first sight, recalling, “The first night I met him, I remember him leaving my apartment. And perhaps it was the influence of alcohol, but I remember him walking out, and I cried. I cried to my brother, ‘I love this man so much.’ And I knew, that was it!”
