At the age of 15, Dillon Danis began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu following a school altercation. By 17, he started frequenting Marcelo Garcia’s academy in New York, and at 19, he relocated there to pursue a career in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu more actively. His success in high-level tournaments led to him earning his black belt at the young age of 21.

In 2016, Dillon Danis gained recognition in the mixed martial arts community when he was recruited to join UFC fighter Conor McGregor’s training camp as a coach and training partner for McGregor’s rematch against Nate Diaz at UFC 202. Due to his absence, New Jersey federal judge Madeline Cox Arleo granted Agdal’s request for a restraining order, preventing Danis from posting any “sexually explicit photographs” of her without her consent.
