In 2013 at Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec, Canada, Kilde achieved the title of junior world champion in giant slalom and secured the overall European Cup title for that season. During the Norwegian national championships, he earned second place in the Super-G, trailing winner Aksel Lund Svindal by a mere 0.11 seconds. Kilde made his World Cup debut in October 2012 and has been an active participant on the circuit since the 2014 season.
