Cooper attended Miami Northwestern Senior High School in Miami, Florida. During his junior year, despite missing a significant portion of the season due to injury, he emerged as one of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s primary targets, securing 16 catches for 175 yards and four touchdowns. Cooper showcased his skills on the 7-on-7 circuit at various college campuses before entering his senior season.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper won’t be participating in Thursday night’s game against the New York Jets due to a heel injury sustained in his exceptional performance last week, setting a team record with 265 receiving yards against the Houston Texans.
The Browns, currently at a 10-5 record, have the opportunity to secure a playoff spot with a victory. However, they’ll be facing this challenge without Cooper, who, despite being initially listed as questionable and expected to play, was ultimately rested by the Browns after warming up two hours before kickoff on a short week.
Cooper, 29, had an impressive game last week with 11 catches and two touchdowns, marking the first time in Cleveland history a player achieved back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. Notably, he played the final month of the previous season with a core muscle injury that required offseason surgery. His season statistics include 72 catches for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns.
