Career
Turner’s college baseball career at Cal State Fullerton was marked by notable achievements. In 2003, he was named to the College World Series all-tournament team as a shortstop, despite facing a frightening incident where he was hit in the face by a fastball after a successful performance at bat. The following year, Cal State Fullerton secured victory in the 2004 College World Series.
During the summer of 2005, Turner played collegiate summer baseball in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.
